December 14, 2021: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has recently released a circular regarding On Job Training (OJT) to Vocational Students for Academic Year 2021-2022 on December 13, 2021.
As per the notice released, students who wish to complete their Goa Board Class 12th On Job Training for 2021-22 academic session can now do so for a short period of time with the consent of their parents.
Goa Board Class 12th students choose to complete their training in Industry, Commercial, Establishments, Banks, Workshops, Garage, Tailoring units, Hotels, Chartered Accountants and Malls among other sectors.
Following the notice released, the Goa Education Board notified all students that if the establishment offers students an opportunity to do assignments and projects, that will also be considered as a part of the On Job Training.
The project or assignments given by the establishment to students can be done from home itself. Students who are opting for the training session will have to make a report of their visit to the workplace.
The official notice reads “students who are willing to complete their OJT in Industry/Commercial/ Establishments/Banks/ Workshops/Garage/ Tailoring units/Hotels/Chartered Accountants/Mall’s etc. may be allowed to do so for a short period of time with the consent of their parents”.

“Further, if any one of the establishments is ready to give some assignments/projects etc. which the students can do from home may also be considered for the purpose of OJT” the notice further reads.
Students of Goa Board Class 12th 2021-2022 academic session, who have applied for On Job Training, OJT in the field of Industries, Commercial establishments, Garage, and Hotels will have the opportunity to visit the actual workplace.
The establishment workplace, production line, and workflow will be introduced to students during the on-job training session. Interested participants will be further offered with office experience.
As per the notice, "Workshops in the institution shall be organized by calling experts from the respective field to provide hands-on experience to the students. Similarly, webinars may also be organized to give practical exposure to the students".
The notice further reads that Goa Board Class 12th students who have applied for On Job Training form batch 2021-2022 will be placed for the training on the basis of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country.
