
New Delhi: Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), via its Academic board of studies, at New Delhi, hosted a two-day National Education Summit on Commerce and Accounting (NES-CA) on January 6 and 7, 2023.
Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar as well as Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Kishan Karad coordinated the ICAI’s NES-CA conference.
Furthermore, NES-CA has developed a fresh curriculum to standardise commerce and accounting instruction at all educational levels (including higher secondary and undergraduate) in schools, colleges, and universities throughout India.
The latest additions state that the new curriculum, which is currently awaiting government approval, was created in accordance with NEP 2020 and placed an emphasis on intellectual application rather than memorization of the use of technology.

ICAI New Commerce Coursework
Researchers, academics, and scholars from several universities throughout India participated at the National Education Summit to talk about ways to give commerce undergraduates the expertise they need to advance in the industry.
According to news agencies, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has proposed a new curriculum titled 'ICAI Exemplar: Preparing Future-Ready Commerce Graduates' in addition to making the topic the focal point of the national summit.
The speakers covered a range of timely subjects, including Indian Accountants Meeting Global Need and the Importance of Commerce Education in Skilling Youth for a $5 Trillion Economy.
Who collaborated with ICAI on the summit?
The Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) have teamed up with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to host a two-day national education summit.
In order to establish India as a global leader in the accounting profession, the conference aimed to emphasise possibilities that are specifically geared toward the country, commerce, and accounting academia.
