IGNOU Introduces PG Diploma in Environmental Management and Law; Check Details

New Delhi: The School of Interdisciplinary and Trans-disciplinary Studies, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has introduced a new post graduate (PG) diploma course in environmental management and law, through Open & Distance Learning mode for the academic session 2022-23.  

The one-year PG Diploma in environmental management and law programme (PGDEML) of IGNOU will be delivered in English medium. Interested candidates can register for this PG diploma programme through the official website – ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. 

IGNOU PGDEML Admission 2023: Highlights

The programme has been launched in accordance with the National Education Policy, NEP 2020. IGNOU Admission to the PG Diploma in environment management and law will be based on academic merit and that the candidates must hold a graduate degree in any field. The fee structure of the course is INR 7000 and they will have to pay INR 400 as an application fee.

IGNOU PGDEML Admission 2023: How to Apply?

Step 1: Go to the official IGNOU website – ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in

Step 2: Registered users can login by keying in the required details, while the new users will have to register.

Step 3: After redirecting to a new window page, fill in the personal information, education qualifications required.

Step 4: Next, upload all the required documents and pay the application fee.

Step 5:  Preview the details and submit the form. Download and save it for future reference.

Meanwhile, IGNOU has also launched a one-year Post Graduate (PG) diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, which is available in the online mode and in three languages — English, Hindi and Tamil. Candidates having a bachelor’s degree in any discipline will be eligible for this diploma programme. The fee structure of this course will be INR 12,500.

While speaking about the PG Diploma programme, IGNOU vice-chancellor, Nageshwar Rao appreciated the PGDEML programme for its ability to connect environmental concerns with legislative aspects. 

Further, he added that IGNOU will be transforming some of the programme into other Indian languages and that the study materials for the MBA programme are being modified into 14 Indian languages in association with AICTE.
