New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University, School of Gender and Development Studies has launched a three-year Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies (BAGS) in Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode. Candidates can apply for admission till February 20, 2023.
As per IGNOU, students who wish to apply for admission to BA in Gender Studies have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent are eligible to apply for the admission process. The fee for this course is INR 4,000/- per annum.

Informing about the key highlights of the program, Vice Chancellor of IGNOU, Nageshwar Rao shared that “such programs as being necessary for the holistic growth of the students, according to the national education policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines”.
Adding to the statement, WISE-KIRAN Project Head, Nisha Mendiratta said that this is the right time for the university has taken such an initiative to launch a program on Gender Studies at the UG level. Through this program, the university will create gender sensitivity among the youth.
In addition to this, IGNOU has extended the last date for registration to January 2023 session till February 20, 2023. Candidates who wish to register for the upcoming session can now submit their application for the same through the official website at ignou.ac.in.
