IIFT Launches 5-Year Integrated MBA from 2022-23; Admission through IPMAT Score


New Delhi: Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has launched a 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for the academic year 2022-23 at the IIFT Kakinada campus.

IIFT has notified that registrations for this 5-year IPM program will begin from the first week of May 2022. Following which classes will begin from September 2022. 

The institute will accept scores obtained in IPMAT 2022 for admission to the program, a statement reads. IPMAT is an entrance exam conducted by IIM Indore for admission to the Integrated Management Programme. As a result, candidates' admission to this programme will be based on IPMAT score, academic profile of class 10th and gender diversity. 

Upon the successful completion of the IIFT IPM programme, the participants will be awarded a degree of BBA (Business Analytics) and a MBA (International Business). This year, a total of 40 students will be inducted into the programme for the academic session 2022-23, the IIFT statement said. 

Further, the statement revealed the curriculum of this IIFT Course which is in accordance with NEP 2020. It has been designed with an aim to impart management and decision-making skills to youth in order to integrate management education with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). 

IIFT IPM Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates seeking IIFT Admission 2022 into the IPM course at IIFT will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria which are as follows:

  • IIFT admission will be based on IPMAT 2022 score, the academic profile of Class 10 and gender diversity. 
  • Candidates must have passed Classes 10+2 exam in arts, commerce or science stream or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks in the year 2020, 2021 or appearing in 2022. 
  • Candidates from SC, ST, PwD and transgenders must have scored 55% in Classes 12 to be eligible for IPM admission. 
  • Candidates must have passed Class 10 exam with at least 60% (55% for candidates from SC, ST, PwD, transgender) or more, not before 2018.
  • Candidates must have pursued Mathematics or Business Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level is mandatory.

Commenting about the IPM programme, Manoj Pant, Vice-chancellor of IIFT, said that the IPM programme will impart knowledge and skills to the aspiring students for managerial roles in the varied management functions across different industries.

With the rigorous and holistic curriculum, the participants of the course will be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills supported by appropriate analytical techniques and will use ethical and socially-conscious judgement while analysing business situations, he said. 

He concluded by saying that the primary objective of the IPM programme is to equip the students with conceptual, analytical, statistical, and interpersonal skills for managerial decision making in the companies.
