IIIT Bangalore PhD Admission 2023 Open; Last Date To Apply is November 11

New Delhi: International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bangalore has begun the application process for the PhD programme for the academic session of January 2023. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @https://www.iiitb.ac.in/. 

IIIT Bangalore offers PhD programme in various specialisations including Computer Science (CS), Data Sciences (DS), IT & Society (ITS), Mathematics & Basic Sciences (MBS) [only PhD], Networking, Communications Signal Processing (NCSP), Software Engineering & VLSI. Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme can submit their applications till November 11, 2022. 

The institute is conducting the Phd Admissions for January 2023 with Fellowships INR 38.5K Per Month. Admission to the PhD programme will be based on the academic qualifications, performance in written test and interview.

The Ph. D. programs in the January 2023 admission cycle are for full-time applicants and sponsored part-time applicants only. The students admitted to these programs will be referred to as research scholars.

IIIT Bangalore PhD Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates should hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent), as well as have a good academic and, where applicable, technical track record to be eligible for admissions. 
• The UGC Has placed an admission criteria for the PhD programme and the institute requires applicants to take either a national entrance examination, as specified by concerned research domains, or a domain-specific entrance examination at IIIT Bangalore before the interview.

IIIT Bangalore PhD Admission 2023: Selection Process

• Screening/ shortlisting will be based on the eligibility criteria and other application details furnished by the applicant, followed by an interview.
• However, for the PhD VLSI-Candidates will have to write the online written exam, followed by an interview if selected. 
• GATE scores are not mandatory but will be desirable.
• Final Shortlisting of applicants to the PhD programme will be done based on their academic background and other details submitted by the applicants.

IIIT Bangalore PhD Admission 2023: Fellowships/ Scholarships

For full-time Doctor of Philosophy students, a fellowship of INR 38,500/- per month till completion of comprehensive Exam. INR 43,500 per month for a maximum period of 3 years (36 months) after completion of comprehensive Exam.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of IIT Bangalore @https://www.iiitb.ac.in/

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
