IIITDM Kancheepuram M.Des Admission 2022 Open, Last Date to Apply is May 6

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Kancheepuram has begun the application process for M. Des course for academic session 2022-24. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, iiitdm.ac.in. 

The M.Des program in Integrated Product Design is offered by the School of Interdisciplinary Design and Innovation (SIDI) at IIITDM Kancheepuram. Candidates seeking admission to the programme can submit their applications till May 6, 2022.

IIITDM Kancheepuram M.Des Admission 2022: Highlights 

The two-year master's course will be conducted in 4 semesters. The main aim of the program is to produce design leaders who have the courage and confidence to identify, and resolve paradoxical challenges through creative, smart and contextually relevant products.

There are a total of 20 seats in the Master of Design (M.Des), for which the institute will intake 10 students with CEED score and 10 students for the master's program with Self/ Sponsored/ Industry person without CEED. 

IIITDM, Kancheepuram M.Des Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

For IIITDM Kancheepuram Admission 2022 into M. Des, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria, 

Category 1: Regular with CEED

• Candidates with a bachelor's degree in Engineering/Design/Architecture (under 10+2+4 yrs regular) with at least 60% marks (55% marks in case of SC/ST/PwD) or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree.
• Candidates should have qualified through Common Entrance Exam for design for 2021 (CEED 2022). 
• CEED category students are eligible for MoE stipend of INR 12,400/- pm for a maximum duration of 24 months. The MoE stipend is paid subject to fulfillment of respective teaching assistant responsibilities and CGPA criteria

Category 2: Self/Sponsored/Industry Person/ QIP without CEED 

• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Design/ Architecture (under 10+2+4 yrs regular) with a minimum of 60% marks (55% marks in case of SC/ST/PwD) or equivalent grades in the qualifying degree.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in R&D organization, industry, academic/ institution, Govt. organization, etc.
• Sponsored candidates are requested to submit sponsorship letters in a prescribed format from the employer along with application.
• Non-CEED category students are not eligible for the MoE stipend. However, they may apply for other scholarships offered by private/government bodies.

IIITDM, Kancheepuram M.Des Admission 2022: Selection Process

• A category-wise merit list would be prepared based on the CEED score of the eligible candidates and called for interview in case of candidates having valid CEED score. 
• In the case of Self-sponsored/ industry-sponsored/QIP persons without CEED score, the selection shall be based on a written test and/or interview conducted by the institute. 
• It is mandatory for these candidates to attend both a written test and an interview to qualify for the admission process. The syllabus will be communicated with the candidates to be called for a written test and interview.

• Visit the official application portal of IIITDM Kancheepuram, iiitdm.ac.in. 
• Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.
• Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.
• Pay the application fee of INR 300 (if male students) and INR 150 (for female students) and submit the Application form. 
• Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
