IIM Amritsar PhD Admission 2023-24 to Open from November 16; Know Details Here

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar will begin the application process for the Doctoral Programme for the academic session 2023-24, on or before November 16, 2022. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @iimamritsar.ac.in.

IIM Amritsar offers two-year PhD in various specialisations including Economics & Public Policy, Finance, Accounting & Control, IT & Computational Systems, Marketing & Communications, Quantitative Methods & Operations Management, Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management, and Strategic Management. 

Candidates seeking admission to the PhD program must meet the required eligibility criteria and can submit their applications till March 03, 2023.

Admission to the PhD program will be done based on CAT/ GATE/ GRE/ NET-JRF (UGC/CSIR), Research Aptitude Test (RAT), Written Analysis Test and PI.

IIM Amritsar PhD Admission 2023-24: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme will have to fulfill the requisite eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates must hold a master’s degree or Post Graduate Diploma or its equivalent in any discipline with first class
• Candidates must have passed B.Tech. / 4 Years Degree with 6.5 CGPA or equivalent
• Any professional qualification such as CA/ ICWA/ CS/CFA- Level-II (USA) with a graduate degree in the relevant subject has a minimum 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average. 
• Those who are appearing for their final year of Master’s / Bachelor’s examination in the current academic year may also apply. 
• However, their admission to the programme will be provisional subject to their successful completion of all requirements for obtaining the relevant degree before 30th June 2023. 
• These candidates are expected to submit their marksheet and degree certificate on or before December 31, 2023. Non-fulfilment of this condition will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

IIM Amritsar PhD Admission 2023-24: Selection Process

• Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria must take the Common Admission Test (CAT). 
• Candidates who have taken GATE, GMAT, GRE, JRF (UGC/CSIR) (in the respective specialisation) examinations can also apply in the relevant area of specialisation. 
• The scores of these examinations (including CAT) taken during the last two years (i.e., on 1st July, 2021 or after) will be considered valid for the admission process.
• Candidates will be short-listed based on their academic record, performance in the competitive examinations mentioned above, and research interests will be called for a personal interview (including Research Aptitude Test and Written Analysis Test) for final selection in March/April 2023. 

• The successful candidates will receive admission offers by the end of May 2023.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of IIM Amritsar @iimamritsar.ac.in.

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
