New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore organised its orientation program of the tenth batch of the General Management Program for Executives in UAE and GCC Nations (GMPe) on the campus ground on November 04, 2022.

As per IIM Indore, the new batch of the general management program was introduced and Professor Himanshu Rai, Director of IIM Indore in the presence of Professor Manoj Motiani, Program Coordinator for GMPe, Faculty, and Dr. Mahesh Chotrani, Founding Director of Anisuma Training Institute.

In his opening remarks, Professor Himanshu Rai discussed the three obstacles that everyone must conquer in order to be happy, fulfilled and successful in life. Speaking of "Swadharma," he asserted that whenever a person finds his or her passion, that is when their swadharma is realised.

He further explained that after you have determined your swadharma, moving forward with it will need you to get beyond a trio of obstacles.

Professor Rai mentioned these building bricks, saying, "Realize that money is the first block, and you must choose what you intend to accomplish with your income. He advised the freshmen to create a life based on their aspirations in order to get rid of the second hurdle, negativity".

"Make sure you can tell the difference between your needs and desires" he added. The final hurdle, according to him, is fear of failing. "Pave your way ahead. The ability to never give up and keep going are keys to success, he said.

Professor Rai shared his advice on how to increase their network and forge partnerships in order to become effective leaders. Conscientiousness, according to Professor Rai, is the ability to exercise discipline, be open to experimentation, try new things, and have the eagerness to learn from everything.

He advised the attendees to practise the art of building their identity based on their passion rather than the title they hold inside their organisation. Use your privileges to help those who are less fortunate. If you utilise your power well, you can make someone yourself and the people around you happy, he said.

You will realise your full potential and contribute to making the universe a better place to live if you can make others happy and joyful, he added. The tenth batch of GMPe recorded a total of 22 participants from Qatar (4), Saudi Arabia (5), Kuwait (4), and Oman (9).
