IIM Indore Signs MoU with AIGGPA to Attract Civil Servants Towards Research; Read Details Here


New Delhi: IIM Indore has signed an MoU with AIGGPA, the collaboration will mainly look into the ways to identify and invite serving and retired civil servants, faculty members, academicians, researchers and other competent persons. The main objective of this MoU is to attract these individuals towards research.

IIM Indore has signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Atal Bihari Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (AIGGPA), Bhopal to encourage collaboration and also provide an opportunity for Professional and Academic interaction in matters related to governance, public policy, administration and other related areas.

The MoU which is valid for the next five years will help participants to share expertise, promote collaboration and assist scholars, professionals and government in preparing policy documents on administration, public policy along with collaborations for training and research programs.

IIM Indore Director, Prof Himanshu Rai and AIGGPA Chief Executive Officer GV Rashmi signed this MoU on February 19, 2022. Prof Sachin Chaturvedi, IIM Indore and VIce-chairman, AIGGPA were also present during the signing event. 

Telling about the collaboration with AIGGPA, Professor Himanshu Rai, Director, IIM Indore said, “We are delighted to collaborate with. This association is in line with our mission to contribute to the betterment of the world. 

We plan to prepare background papers, policy documents and compendiums on topical issues related to administration, public policy & government after which they will be submitted to the government for Policy formulation. We would also encourage them to participate in the ongoing research or development of programmes of mutual interest,” added Rai. 

Prof Sachin Chaturvedi said that IIM Indore is one of the Premium management institutions effectively contributing to the enhancement of administration and governance, along with its outstanding academics and research.

“We aim to jointly identify and pursue the opportunities to establish and submit new research project proposals and training programmes for possible funding by the government and external agencies. The MoU would also encourage collaboration between researchers and faculty members from the two institutions.

IIM Indore Courses and Fees

Showing her delight in signing the MoU, GV Rashmi said that this collaboration would help both the institutes in facilitating knowledge advancement in the focus areas. Valid for a time period of five years, the MoU will also include the arrangement of collaborative programmes in the form of lectures, seminars, webinars, workshops, panel discussions and training programs and publication of these literary events proceedings. 

IIM Indore Collaborates with Army Training Command & Army War College

Earlier, IIM Indore, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), and its subsidiary, the Army War College (AWC), had also signed an MOU to conduct training and professional discourse. The MOU will be in effect for a duration of three years.

As part of the MoU signed, IIM Indore will offer the Executive Fellow Programme in Management and Governance (EFPMG) specifically to serve armed services personnel. The nomination and selection of participants for this programme will be done between IIM Indore and AWC in accordance with the requirements.
