Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow has collaborated with Apollo Medskills and launched an executive programme in healthcare management.
IIM Lucknow in collaboration with Apollo Medskills has introduced the executive programme with an objective to develop an appropriate managerial capacity among the fast-growing healthcare sector in the country.
The programme has been designed with an increased focus on healthcare management amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Candidates interested in seeking admission in IIM- Lucknow's executive programme in healthcare management can check the eligibility criteria and apply till February 21, 2022.
IIM Lucknow EPHM: Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the IIM Lucknow Admission for the executive programme, candidates must be a graduate with at least 60% in the last qualifying exam, along with two years of experience in the healthcare sector or three years of experience in any sector.
It is to be noted that candidates who do not meet the eligibility criterion will not be considered for the final admission in the program.
Speaking about the executive programme in Healthcare Management, IIM-L officials said that the need for such a course was required after the care delivery became a big challenge considering the shortage of qualified medical, nursing, diagnostic and managerial workforce in the healthcare sector apart from underdeveloped infrastructure.
As a part of the executive programme, there will be discussions on global healthcare, emphasis on the Indian healthcare scenario, public health perspectives, and health care system administration.
The directors of the Executive Programme, Professor S Venkataramanaiah and Professor Madhumita Chakraborty said the uniqueness of this executive programme in Healthcare Management is the experiential learning by way of attending immersion programmes and industrial visits to Apollo hospitals.
Dr Srinivasa Rao Pulijala, CEO of Apollo MedSkills Limited, said that the programme will foster and shape the careers of hundreds of aspirants aspiring to take up leadership roles in the healthcare sector.
The duration of the programme is 250 learning hours with a recommended schedule of 5-6 hours/week, and it is scheduled to commence from March 2022.
