IIM Placements Analysis 2021: Highest & Average Salary Package, Top Domains & Recruiters

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are the most sought-after B-schools in India. Recently, most of the IIMs concluded their 2021 placement drive. It has been observed that this year, a majority of placements had been done under the Consulting sector followed by BFSI, E-Commerce, and IT/Operations sectors.

IIM Placements are conducted between December - February every year. The average salary package at top IIMs ranges between INR 20 LPA - INR 25 LPA. 

Top companies from various domains visit the IIM campus placements and recruit IIM students for leadership roles in their organization. Recently, due to the Covid19 pandemic, these institutes conducted their placements in an online mode based on a “cluster-cohort model” where recruiters offering similar profiles are grouped into a cohort.

In the year 2021, in most IIMs there was Year-On-Year increase in the Average and Median salary. The biggest jump in the average CTC can be seen at IIM Bangalore this year, where the average salary increased by 11%.
