Candidates who are preparing to apply for admission to Indian Institute of Management PhD program can check the detailed eligibility criteria and selection process below:

• Candidates with Master’s / PG Diploma (2 years) in any stream/ Integrated (Dual) Degree from IIT/IIMs/Other reputed Institutions/ Universities are eligible. It is necessary to have a minimum of 55% or equivalent aggregate score in Bachelor’s degree and 60% aggregate marks in Master’s degree, to be eligible for the PhD program.
• Or, B. Com degree with professional qualification such as CA, ICWA, and CS, with at least 55% aggregate marks in B.Com, is also eligible.
• Or, B.E/BTech B.Sc Engineering/B. Arch (4-year/8-semester) degree qualified with minimum 6.5 CGPA or equivalent must have minimum 5 years of work experience in managerial/executive/professional sector, after graduation.

• Candidates applying for the program must have valid standard tests score
  • CAT 2018, 2019 & 2020 is valid for 2022.
  • GRE/GATE/GMAT/JRF (UGC/CSIR) score in the last two years is valid for 2022 application for PhD admissions.
• A Competent Authority will decide the number of candidates to be called for PI or personal interviews.
• Candidates will be called as per merit of Standard Test Score.
• Selection panel in PI round will evaluate candidates on the basis of good academic record, professional accomplishments and research interest basis.
• Final Merit List will be prepared, based on a total of 7 parameters i.e. Test Score, Personal Interview, Academic Qualifications, Relevant work experience, Research Aptitude, Publications, and Letter of Recommendation.
