IIM-Visakhapatnam Decides to Operate Its Permanent Campus by June End

New Delhi: IIM Visakhapatnam is set to begin the new academic year on its permanent campus. The institute has decided to conduct classes for its flagship MBA program for senior students from June 6, 2022.

The academic sessions for freshers will begin in the fourth week of June from the IIM Vishakhapatnam permanent campus, which is being built near Gambheeram. After a month of the juniors moving to the Gambheeram campus, the second-year PGP students will shift there as well.

IIM Vishakhapatnam courses have been changed for the new batch in order to generate future-ready managers. Considering the size of the hostels and academic facilities being built on the permanent campus, the institute has decided to increase its PGP intake for the 2022-24 batch above 300.

The institute has also recently launched the IIMV Supers (Smart Undeterred Passionate Entrepreneurs among Resident Students) programme for PGP students based on its startup policy.

Under this programme, students can get deferred placements for a maximum of two years from the year of graduation, a break after completing their first-year courses, and financial assistance from IIM Vishakhapatnam.

Speaking about the new campus, IIM-Vizag director prof said, “The capacity creation at the Gambheeram campus will come in handy to meet the future inevitable growth of the institute and scaling up of academic programmes. The advanced digital technologies being embraced in this campus will help in offering full-time online programmes”.
