New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi’s technology innovation hub I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC) has joined hands with the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the USA for research and development in Cobotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML).
The IIT Delhi has issued a statement mentioning that with the help from the Indian embassy in Washington, the Union ministry of science and technology’s department of science and technology (DST), enabled this collaboration, where IIT Delhi IHFC was selected.
The IHFC is funded by the DST under its National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS).

The institute has claimed that both IIT Delhi and NSF have strong linkages with expert researchers in cobotics, AI, ML, and robotics. In addition, both
Both NSF and IHFC have disclosed details regarding additional funding for research and grand projects.

SK Saha, Project Director of IHFC, who is also a professor at IIT Delhi, said that the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the TIH of IIT Delhi, will provide extra INR 50,00,000, towards the funding of the cobotics projects for research and development.
Further, the IHFC will fund researchers working in the field of Medical Simulations, Drone Technology & Applications, Healthcare Robotics, Rehabilitation Robotics, Human-Robot Interactions, Intelligent Sensing & Secured Communications, and Industry 4.0 & beyond.
