New Delhi: As per the placement data, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi has received over 1,300 job offers so far, which is the highest ever in IIT Delhi placement history. The job offers were made during phase 1 of the placement campus drive which was held from December 01 to December 15, 2022.
As per IIT Delhi, more than 1,150 graduating students had been placed exclusively during the first round of the IIT Delhi campus placement season. The institute also recorded a rise of over 10% in the number of unique selections for this placement session. After phase 1, the drive will continue till the end of May 2023.
For this session, the students who participated in the drive received more than 30 overseas job offers from 15 foreign businesses that offered positions in countries like Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and United States.

Along with the unusual job selection, IIT Delhi also experienced its largest pre-placement offer (PPO) intake ever. More than 260 PPOs, of which 6 were overseas offers, are included in the 1,300 offers. Ten of the candidates who received offers during the placement chose the deferred placement facility.
Students who choose the deferred placement option have to option to participate in the placement session of IIT Delhi in the two years following their selection of this option. This option is available for those students who intend to launch a business after graduation.
More than 500 organisations from a variety of industries registered with IIT Delhi, providing over 1,000 job profiles to hire IIT-D students. To give recruiters and students more time to think things through, the full interview process was done in one day.
Talking about the IIT Delhi Placement 2022 session, IIT Delhi, Head of Office of Career Services, Anishya Obhrai Madan, said: “We wish to thank and acknowledge all participating recruiting organizations for reposing their faith in our students".
"We welcomed recruiters hiring across domains. Companies from the Core Sector and Analytics domains have recruited in larger numbers this year. We look forward to this positive hiring trend continuing for the rest of the season”, she further added.
