New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has opened the application process for a free online artificial intelligence course for students and professionals called "fundamentals of artificial intelligence." The deadline for submitting an application is August 1, 2022.
IIT Guwahati is accepting applications for admission to a free online course on artificial intelligence that can be taken up by students and interested professionals. The course, called fundamentals of artificial intelligence, can be completed in 12 weeks. The course has been designed to develop a basic understanding of problem solving, knowledge representation, reasoning and learning methods of artificial intelligence. Students who complete the course will also be rewarded 3 credit points.

Candidates should be aware that from July 25 to October 14, 2022, the IIT Guwahati Free Online Course on Artificial Intelligence will be offered on the NPTEL platform. The deadline to apply for the free AI course at IIT Guwahati is August 1, 2022. Participants who are interested must register on the site using their Facebook, Swayam, Microsoft, or Google accounts. Those interested in receiving certificates with the NPTEL and IIT Guwahati emblems must take an examination on October 29, 2022, and pay INR 1000.
Eligibility for a free AI course at IIT Guwahati
Candidates in their final year of BTech, MTech, or PhD who have a basic understanding of probability and linear algebra should take the IIT Guwahati Free Online Course in Artificial Intelligence. Shyamanta M Hazarika, a professor of mechanical engineering at IIT Guwahati and the director of the Biomimetic Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Lab, will deliver the course. Rehabilitation robotics is one of his research areas. Artificial intelligence, biomimetic robotics, and robotic neurorehabilitation are all gaining popularity as a result of this.
The professor has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Assam Engineering College in Guwahati, India, and a master's degree in robotics from IIT Kanpur's Center for Robotics. He also holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
