New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati has started its campus placement drive for graduating students from December 02, 2022 (today). So far, a total of 168 offers have been made to students by 46 recruiters on campus ground.
As per IIT Guwahati, students have received the highest international offer of INR 2.4 crores and the highest domestic offer for this session stood at INR 1.1 crore so far. The first phase of placement is still ongoing and will continue till December 15, 222 on the campus ground.
Following the IIT Guwahati Placement 2022 data, students received top placement offers in several branches of engineering such as Software Development, Data Science, Quant, Core engineering, UX Designer, VLSI, Vehicle Engineering, Analyst, and Product Designer, etc.
A total of 1269 students have registered for the campus drive and 264 companies visit the campus to shortlist candidates for 470 job profiles. Out of the total recruiters, 78 start-ups have registered for recruitment in addition to five public sector undertakings.
IIT Guwahati Director Prof TG Sitharam said, “We are really excited to physically host companies on the IIT Guwahati campus after two years. We have recorded progressive outcomes in Sessions 1.1 and 1.2 of the placement drive”.

For the session 2022-23, students have already received 218 pre-placement offers (PPOs) and the number is still expected to increase as the placement session will commence on December 15, 2022. Most of the offers are made for Core Engineering, IT, Finance and Analyst profiles.
Informing about the placement achievement, Abhishek Kumar, Head of Center for Career Development said, “Both company officials and students are excited to meet face to face after two years of gap due to the pandemic”.
“This has given the upper hand to both employers as well as a potential employee to interact one-to-one, giving more space for proper understanding on both sides of the table”, he further added.
Some of the top recruiters who made offers to students are Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Google, Uber, Qualcomm, C-DOT, Enphase Energy, Oracle, Nutanix, Thoughtspot MTS-2, Squarepoint SDE/Quant, American Express, JP Morgan Chase, Bajaj, Rippling, Tibra, Cohesity, and Sprinklr Platform + Product, among others.
