December 28, 2021: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has started the commencement of academic activities in its newly initiated School of Business on the campus ground. The admission process for its first batch of MBA programs will start in January 2022.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati’s School of Business will start the admission process for its flagship program, namely, the Masters of Business Administration (MBA). The process will start for all interested candidates at iitg.ac.in and http://www.iitg.ac.in/sob.
Following the schedule, the first batch will start their classes in July 2022. The admission for the IIT Guwahati MBA Program 2022 will commence in line with admission criteria adopted by other IITs for their MBA program.

IIT Guwahati MBA Admission Process 2022
Following the IIT Guwahati Admission 2022 criteria, the MBA admission process for session 2022 will take place in two stages;
- stage 1
- stage 2.
In stage 1, students will have to appear for a personal interview round conducted by the admission authority.
In stage 2, the selected students will be evaluated based on their scores in the personal interview round, academic scores, entrance exam scores, and other parameters. The final selection of the applicants will be made based on their overall admission score.
While talking about the initiatives of IIT Guwahati, TG Sitharam stated that the inauguration of the School of Business will not only improve the overall education quality of the institute but will also offer programs to students in line with National Education Policy 2020.
The initiative of the institute was motivated by the idea of promoting and contributing to the subjects of management and entrepreneurship among other emerging subjects, he added.

IIT Guwahati MBA Admission 2022: CAT Score Required
As per the admission criteria, interested students who meet the eligibility criteria will have to submit their application for the program before the given deadline by the university. After evaluating the application forms, the further selection process will begin.
Selected students who meet the eligibility criteria will be selected for Masters of Business Administration (MBA) admission seats based on their Common Admission Test (CAT) entrance examination score. Those who do not meet the criteria will not be considered.

Earlier, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has launched the official website of its newly inaugurated School of Business (http://www.iitg.ac.in/sob). The website was launched by the IIT Guwahati Director, TG Sitharam during an online event held on December 24, 2021.
The website of IIT Guwahati’s School of Business is now accessible to all interested students, faculty members. Applicants can get related admission and academic activities info from the website. Further updates on various initiatives will also be updated on the same by the institute.
