IIT Hyderabad M.Tech, M.Des, M.A. and MDS Admission 2022; Last Date to Apply is April 10

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Hyderabad has extended the application process for M.Tech, M.Des, M.A, and MDS programs for the academic session 2022-24 till April 10, 2022. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @iith.ac.in. 

IIT Hyderabad offers M.Tech, M.Des, M.A and MDS courses in different specializations. Candidates seeking admission to these master's programmes can submit their applications till April 10, 2022. 

IIT Hyderabad Admission 2022: Highlights 

The master's courses of IIT Hyderabad are offered by different departments of the institute such as the department of design offers the M.Des program, whereas the M.A program is offered by the department of liberal arts and the M.Tech, MDS programmes are offered by the CSE department. 

Earlier, the last date to submit the application forms was till April 3, however, the institute has extended the deadline to submit applications for admission into the master's programmes till April 10, 2022. The institute began the application process on March 14, 2022. 

IIT Hyderabad Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

In order to enroll for admissions into the master's program of IIT Hyderabad, candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria. 

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech: 

• Candidates must hold a B.Sc, B.Des, B.Arch, BTech or a BE degree (including early career professionals) with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Des:

• Candidates should have a valid CEED score and a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST) or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination, which are: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design / Interior Design or equivalent (4 years’ duration after 10+2). 

Eligibility Criteria for M.A:

• Candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA to be eligible for admissions into the MA program. 
• Shortlisted candidates will have to pass a written test and/or interview conducted by the Department of Liberal Arts. 

Eligibility Criteria for MDS:

• M.Tech in Data Science programme has been exclusively designed for working professionals. 

• Candidates should hold a BTech/ BE degree in CS/EE/IT/ECE, or an 
• MCA, an MSc/MS/ME/M.Tech. degree in CS/IT with at least 70% marks or 7.0 CGPA in one of the qualifying exams. 
• Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a relevant industry and be employed in industry at the time of applying. with B.Tech./BE degree or an ME/M.Tech. 

IIT Hyderabad Admission 2022: Selection Process

Selection Process for M.Tech:

• All qualified GATE candidates who intend to apply for M.Tech admission, must register at the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).
• The COAP Registration number will be required at the time of filling out the online M.Tech application form. 
• Candidate's will be finally selected based on a multistage shortlisting process (written test, short-writeup on a proposed entrepreneurship idea and interview). 

Selection Process for M.Des:

• Candidates will be selected if they possess a valid score in the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED). They will be shortlisted for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) based on CEED score and based on the DAT scores, the candidates will be screened and shortlisted candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview. 
• The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in DAT, PI, Academic Performance and Design Portfolio.

Selection Process for M.A: 

• Mere fulfillment of the minimum educational qualification does not necessarily entitle applicants to a call for the written test. The institute reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates based on qualification and suitability. 

Selection Process for M.Tech in Data Science 

• Candidate's selection will be based on written tests, followed by online interviews. They will be shortlisted for interviews based on their performance in the written test. 

IIT Hyderabad Admission 2022: How to Apply?

• Visit the official application portal of IIT Hyderabad @iith.ac.in. 
• Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.
• Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.
• Pay the application fee of INR 500 and submit the Application form. 
• Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
