IIT Indore: Public Lectures in Association with University of Oslo Organized on January 13; Check Details Here


Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT-I) tied up with the University of Oslo to organize a series of public lectures on the topic “Role of Science in Nation Building during Global Health Crisis” on January 13, 2021.

The event was attended by many science colleges worldwide. IIT-Indore’s International Affairs and Outreach Office also plans to establish a virtual platform available to not just premiere institutions but also to students and faculty of institutions from remote places who have limited scientific exposure.

This series was addressed by Professor Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of AICTE who remarked on the ancient civilization of India and its role in inventing education systems and universities. 

He pointed out that Indian civilization still has continuity and provides an already existing foundation for the nation’s rebuilding. Inquisitiveness is necessary for science. 

A good engineer needs to have some knowledge of humanities and social sciences. “Hence, the education system must be multidisciplinary and not work in isolation”, said Professor Sahasrabudhe during the event organized by IIT-I.
