IIT Madras Launches Short Course on Advanced Quantum Computing; Read Details Here

New Delhi: Pravartak Technologies Foundation of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) has recently launched an advanced quantum computing course for interested candidates. The course will commence for a duration of two weeks, from December 5 to December 16, 2022 at IIT Madras campus.

As per IIT Madras, the training for advanced quantum computing course is being provided to participants in a collaboration with Mphasis Centre for Quantum Information, Communications (MCQuICC) and Computing and Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) India.

Informing about the course, IIT Madras informed that the goal of this new program is to introduce specialised themes to students who are already familiar with the basics of quantum computing. Additionally, it will introduce the QISKIT runtime, which will eventually become the standard way to programme in IBM QISKIT.

The two-week course will be taught from December 5 through December 16, 2022 at the IIT Madras campus ground. Participants from businesses and government agencies are welcome to join the course. Candidates can register for this course till December 2, 2022 through the official website at wsaqc.pravartak.org.in.

The ACM school on quantum computing, which was held in January 2022, is a sequel to this school. The program's goal is to teach participants how to use sophisticated IBM QISKIT modules on quantum simulation, quantum finance, and quantum machine learning.

The National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems of the Government of India's Department of Science and Technology (DST) provides funding to IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation (NM-ICPS). It aims to create and commercialise Cyber-Physical Systems solutions with a focus on Indian needs.
