IIT Mandi Concludes Placement 2022-23: Average CTC Received is 20.14 LPA

New Delhi: IIT Mandi has officially ended its initial phase of university placement for the 2022-23 academic year. Up to this point, 249 graduates have been employed, with 70 receiving pre-placement proposals at an average annual income of 25.23 LPA.

Over the course of this placement process, over 85 organisations took part, and a total of 140 companies from across the world have listed with the university. Over 90 worldwide offers have been made to students at IIT Mandi thus far, with participation from big players like Uber, Amazon, Walmart, Oracle, and many more.

Past Placement Record

Gradually, IIT Mandi's recruitment rates have increased, particularly so during the years 2020, 2021, and 2022. Among the 29 students who qualified for placement last year, only 24 actually received one (even though 26 offers were made).

In 2019, there were only 16, among which 15 students received placement offers and 10 found jobs. The student body may have dropped, but their average wage has climbed from 8.79 LPA in 2016 to 14.35 LPA in 2019.

There was a dramatic increase in the number of qualified students in 2020, with 30 total; 35 offers were made; 28 were accepted; and the average wage for these 28 was 19.92 LPA. The overall number of proposals in 2021 was 41, with 32 getting approved for 38 individuals, while the average wage was 20.85 LPA, up from 19.75 LPA the previous year.

Despite the overall amount of jobs climbing to 62, the average salary fell to 20.14 LPA due to global layoffs in the IT industry.
