IIT Mandi Start Up ManliSwing to Launch World's First AI Supported Giant Swing in Manali

New Delhi: IIT Mandi start-up ‘ManaliSwing’ has built the world's first-ever giant artificial intelligence-supported backed swing which will be launched in Manali on New Year. With this, tourists in Manali will be able to experience the safest giant swings in the world.

IIT Mandi Start Up ManliSwing to Launch World's First AI Supported Giant Swing in Manali

As per IIT Mandi, the start incubated at the institute, "ManaliSwing" is founded by four engineers who are also certified climbers and mountaineers. The startup has already completed its first human jump trails and is in the process of filling five patents for the concept and design.

Informing about the swing, Utsav Soni, one of the Founder of ManliSwing said, “We will offer one of the world's most creative and safe giant swings like bungee jumping but instead of going down on rubber bungee cord one freefall is followed by a giant swing on dual dynamic ropes".

He added that the artificial intelligent supported swing is expected to be launched in Manali on New Year. The cost for each jump will be INR 3,000/- which will include the transportation fee from a certain point, professional photography charges and videography service as well.

To ensure the safety and efficiency of the giant swing, the startup has conducted a large-scale trial of 1000 dummy jumps and successful human jumps under the supervision of IRATA experts at the IIT Hyderabad campus.

“The AI will also help track participants and jump master’s performance across millions of data points and deliver optimised approvals for jumping. Having a really intelligent AI will be an edge for a Jump Master and his team making sure no injury, incident, or causality can happen on the site" Soni further added.

The project was started five years ago and was commercially registered last year by the IIM Mandi startup. “We approached IIT Mandi with the idea and three months later we were an incorporated company with the first working prototype,” he added.
