IIT Patna Placements 2022: Highest CTC at INR 61.3 LPA; 72% Increase In Job Offers

New Delhi: IIT Patna has successfully conducted its placements drive for its 2022 batch. According to a news statement released by IIT Patna, this year the number of offers, the highest domestic and average packages, and the number of PPOs have all increased significantly.

Approximately 154 companies from the IT/Software, Finance, Banking, Analytics and consultancy, core engineering, E-commerce, health care, manufacturing, cars, and other industries extended 412 job offers to the students of IIT Patna. 

This year's 412 job offers represent a 72.38 % increase over the previous year's 239 job offers. Accenture Japan, Amazon Berlin, Google Munich, Amazon Luxembourg, Square Point Capital London, and Google London have also extended 10 international offers.

According to information, IIT Patna's placement has seen an increase in the average package compared to the previous academic year. The average B.Tech pay increased by 68.47 % to INR 28.86 lakh in 2022, up from INR 17.13 lakh in 2021. 

Similarly, in 2022, the average M.Tech income reached INR 14.99 lakh, up from INR 12.22 lakh in 2021. The highest domestic salary package provided was INR 61.30 lakh, with the students of the 2022 class receiving INR 57.40 lakh.

IIT Patna Placements 2022: Highlights

In addition, IIT Patna has experienced a considerable increase in the number of pre-placement offers provided to students throughout the years. IIT Patna students obtained 50 PPOs in 2021-22, compared to 25 in 2020-21, a 100 % increase over the previous session.

The release further stated that "In terms of placement percentage, B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, and Electronics Engineering recorded 100% placements each, while Chemical Engineering 82.35% and Civil Engineering 77.27%. The overall placement percentage of B.Tech has been 96.19%. Similarly, in M,Tech Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics and Computing, VLSI/Embedded Systems, and Mechanical Engineering, 100% placements were recorded, and other streams have also performed well in terms of placement percentage. Altogether, the M.Tech batch of 2022 recorded 86.81 percent placement this year".

This year, six overseas offers for students of the B.Tech programme of IIT Patna with salary packages above INR 1 crore were received through the off-campus recruiting process. According to the press release, IIT Patna has offered one of the students a pay package of INR 1.37 crore, Google Munich has offered another student a remuneration of INR 1.31 crore, Amazon Berlin has offered a pay package of INR 1.20 crore to three students, and Amazon Luxemburg has offered a pay package of INR 1 crore to one IIT Patna student.
