IITs Kicked-off Placement Drive With High-End Packages, IIT Delhi Bags in 300 Placement Offers; Check Complete Detail Here


IIT Delhi has recorded over 300 placement offers with pre-placement offers on the first day of the Virtual Placement drive.

In this Pandemic situation, some good news has finally arrived, the placement drive has kick-started the IIT students.

IIT Delhi students on December 1 have managed to achieve around 300 placement offers with some of the prominent companies in the market.

The highest package earned till now is INR 1.54 crore per annum from international companies. For domestic companies, students were offered the packages of INR 80 Lakh per annum, which is higher compared to previous year placements.

One of the officials stated that in this recess time, many companies have structured a new set of requirements that involve a smooth selection process. Even in the virtual mode of selection, the entire interview process was scheduled with multiple shifts and all seemed seamless.

The same process will be followed by other participating companies as well and the number of placement offers is expected to increase gradually. This mode of the selection process is beneficial for both students and recruiters.

Fellow IITs like IIT Madras experienced 123 placement offers from 222 companies and IIT BHU experienced 217 placements with CTC upto INR 64.27 Lakhs per annum.

IIT Guwahati is also hoping to see the same results for the placement process. Director TG Shriram has expressed his optimistic perspective to the media saying recruiters have encouraged the students to join the company inspired by the pandemic situation.

IIT Bombay received the placement offers from 18 companies on day 1 including Microsoft, Google, Texas instruments, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, Apple and Amsterdam-based companies trading firm Optiver from International markets.
