Indian Institute of Geomagnetism JRF Program Admission 2023 Open; Apply till April 20

New Delhi: Indian Institute of Geomagnetism has begun the registration process for admission to its Junior Research Fellowship program for the academic session 2023-24. All the Interested candidates can apply for admission through the university's official website i.e, iigm.res.in/ till April 20, 2023

Candidates must possess an M.Sc. or M.Sc.(Tech.) degree in Physics, Geophysics, Space Physics, Applied Geology or Applied Mathematics in order to apply for IIG JRF Admission 2023.

IIG offers admission to its JRF program on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. Students who have been shortlisted are then contacted for an interview round.

IIG JRF Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

To get admission in IIG JRF Program 2023, interested candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Applicants must possess an M.Sc. or M.Sc.(Tech.) degree in Physics, Geophysics, Space Physics, Applied Geology, or Applied Mathematics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 60% or an equivalent grade point average, as well as Physics or Mathematics in B.Sc. degree or any graduate-level course.
• Applicants who are appearing in the Master's degree final year examination in 2023 may also apply.
• Applicants need to be 25 years of age on July 01, 2023.

IIG JRF Admission Process 2023: Selection Criteria

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can check the selection process to get admission in IIG JRF Program:

• Applicants who have GATE/ NET/INSPIRE JRF credentials in the aforementioned subjects that are valid through January 2025 or later may be invited straight for the interview round.
• Applicants who failed to pass any of the aforementioned admission tests or not in possession of GATE/NET/INSPIRE certificate (s) are required to appear for a written examination and go through a personal interview round at IIG, Navi Mumbai. If chosen, they will need to pass any of these exams within a year and in accordance with any other requirements set forth by the university where they would enrol in a PhD program.
