New Delhi: Jindal School of Art & Architecture will be conducting the Jindal Creative Aptitude Test (JCAT) during the first week of April 2022. Interested candidates should book their slots for JCAT after filling the application form.
JCAT is an online proctored exam for admissions into Bachelor of Design (B.Des) - Interior, Community & Urban Development and B.A. (Hons.) Built Environment Studies at JSAA.

JCAT 2022: Part A
Part A of JCAT would comprise of 100 marks. Duration would be 2 hours. Details are as follows:
Section -1
Verbal & Quantitative–
Duration- 30 Minutes, Total Questions-20, Total Marks- 20 (Weightage 20%)
It will comprise multiple-choice analytic questions. These questions will typically assess your ability to make inferences from data, interpret graphs and diagrams, understand concepts, and discriminate between fact and opinion.
Section -2
Visual Reasoning –
Duration- 30 Minutes, Total Questions- 8, Total Marks- 24 (Weightage 24%)
These will be image-based, non-verbal type analytic & comparative questions. The section will assess the ability to use critical thinking and logic construction towards problem finding and solving.
Section -3
Making & Materiality –
Duration- 30 Minutes, Total Questions- 2, Total Marks- 30 (Weightage 30%)
This section will have images of everyday objects/structures. Selected parts/elements will be tagged, and you will be expected to describe what you see – connections, materials used, steps in construction/assembly of the object/structure. It will also assess the ability to ‘deconstruct’ everyday objects/structures and demonstrate the ability to figure out how things are put together.
Section -4
Verbal Ability English –
Duration- 30 Minutes, Total Questions- 13, Total Marks- 26 (Weightage 26%)
It will have two sets of questions short reasoning and long reasoning to judge the abilities in word power, sentence correction, use correct grammar, spotting errors, understand analogies and how well you written information can be analysed.
JCAT 2022: Part B
Candidates should obtain a minimum of 50% in Part A to be eligible for Part B. Furthermore, to be eligible for admission, a minimum of 50% in Part B needs to be scored. Details are as follows:
