Karnataka SSLC Exams 2021 to be held in Early June And PUC Exams in May; Check Details Here


Karnataka Education Department announced that the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) for Class 10 exams would begin from the first week of June, while the Second Year Pre-University( PUC) for Class 12 exams are expected to be held during the second week of May, 2021 .

On January 6, Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar notified that all the schools and pre-university colleges in Karnataka have already received the finalized syllabus for these two classes and the datesheet for both the exams will be released shortly.

After nine months of lockdown schools and Karnataka Colleges reopened on January 1, 2021 for the sake of preparing students for board exams. Due to the pandemic situation, the Education Department had taken the initiative to postpone these examinations which are usually held in the month of February and March.

The Education Department has not published the exam schedule yet and the same will be released on the official websites soon. Candidates who have registered for the examination are advised to keep an eye on the official website of KSEEB and PUE- Kar for latest updates.

The Education Minister stated that there was no proposal given on the possibility of reducing the syllabus for the classes of 1 to 9 syllabus. He also added that the Education Department has shared an alternative calendar with the schools. The evaluation process for SSLC Exam 2021 for classes 1-9 would be performed at the school level and on the basis of students’ learning ability.
