Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has launched the first phase of a model project which would help easily impart and facilitate education to the students belonging to SC and ST category.

There are many ST, SC category students who do not have adequate facilities to study at home. Their families come from low income group and cannot afford the facilities required for home tutoring.

To solve this issue, Kerala government has decided to offer financial help to the members of the SC community. A grant of Rs 2 lakhs is being given to each member to set up a study room near their house.

The student capacity of each classroom is 30 students. The Government has set up the goal to construct 500 such community study rooms.

To empower the education of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students, the state government is making all efforts by providing maximum help and support.
