MP Medical College 2021: Madhya Pradesh Government has now approved the construction of 6 new medical colleges in various districts. The decision has been made to boost medical education and improve the medical facilities of the state. 

On Tuesday, November 30, 2021, the Madhya Pradesh Government held a cabinet meeting with officials to discuss the medical facilities. During the meeting, the cabinet members along with Punjab CM approved the layout and construction work of six new medical colleges. 

With this approval, the government has also allotted a budget of Rs 1,547 crore for the construction work. Furthermore, the cabinet decided to distribute the budget and offer support to medical college construction in the state.

Referring to the decision, an official from the public relations department stated that the Madhya Pradesh Medical Colleges will be set up in six districts of the state, namely Mandla, Singrauli, Sheopur, Rajgarh, Neemuch, and Mandsaur. 

Under the budget of Rs 1,547 crore, the Mandla Medical College is offered with Rs 249.63 crore for construction, while Rs 258.07 crore for Singrauli, Rs 256.83 crore for Sheopur, and Rs 256.55 crore budget has been allotted for Medical College in Rajgarh District. 

Additionally, for the construction work of the Medical College in Neemuch state, the Madhya Pradesh Government has set a budget of Rs 255.78 crore, while a budget of Rs 270.59 crore has been approved for the college in Mandsaur, the official added.

In addition to the approval of medical colleges, the Madhya Pradesh State Cabinet has also released the approval to use the vacant area of 97,452 squares available near Kanavati on Mhow Nasirabad Road. 

The vacant space will now be used for setting up a medical college in Kanavati District of Madhya Pradesh, the officials reported. 

As of now, the Madhya Pradesh state has a total of 23 working medical colleges in state, out of which, 14 are supported and maintained by the state government. While the remaining 9 medical colleges in the state are run by private management.
