Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur has planned to start offering technical courses like B.Tech and B.Arc. to students.
MLSU conducted the meeting on October 8 regarding the plan for providing technical courses. The meeting was conducted among the Committee of Deans (COD). The meeting witnessed various members including registrar Himmat Barhat, Finance controller Suresh Jain, Kanika Sharma (Science), P.K Singh, Seema Malik (Arts & Humanities) among many others.

The Committee prepared a written proposal for the course. The proposal will be presented before the members of BOM for approval in its next meeting.
The inclusion of these courses will boost the reputation of the university. It will also attract a lot of students from outside the city.
Apart from the course proposal, the Udaipur-based varsity drafted another proposal related to tribal welfare. According to this project, both teaching as well as non-teaching staff have to adopt a tribal family. They will have to take care of the family and enhance their living standard.

The university also took a vital decision regarding the fee structure. Due to the ongoing pandemic situations, they have decided to slash down the fees of self-finance courses by 15%.
Furthermore, the varsity also plans to implement the ideals of NEP 2020. In this respect, it intends to establish a training center for students who clear various competitive examinations for government or corporate institutions. The students will be provided training on skill development.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof America Singh said that students who failed in the previous year’s examination that ended in June will be given another chance to enhance their marks.
He also highlighted that teacher’s and employee’s motivation is very necessary for the smooth working of an institution. An award program will be conducted to acknowledge the efforts of various staff members.
