New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that digital and skill universities will be established in the state to provide high-quality education to the youngsters.
The announcement was made during the departmental review meeting. He said that currently, there's a proposal to make Digital University in Ujjain and Skill University in Bhopal, whereas the first digital university in the country was set up in Kerala.
Minster Yadav instructed the professors of Ujjain University and departmental officers to visit Kerala University and present the concept paper. Similarly, Professors and department officials of Barkatullah University will have to visit Rajasthan Skill University.
The teams have been given a duration of three weeks to come up with the concept note that will include the basic plan of the digital university in Madhya Pradesh.
Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Shailendra Singh and Commissioner Higher Education Sonali Wayangankar were the prominent dignitaries present in the review meeting.

The Minister said that the pandemic has assisted students to be familiarized with digital education. Owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, several universities, schools and educational institutions in the country have adapted online mode of education to avoid any academic loss of the students.
As a result, Digital University will be easier and convenient for the students to adopt. Door-to-door education will be easily accessible through digital universities. Students can also be able to get an education in different regional languages.

With an aim to be the prime mover of the knowledge revolution in the country, Digital University focuses on research and education in science, technology and humanities relevant to the digital world, concluded MP Education Minister Mohan Yadav.
Earlier this month, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman proposed to set up a digital university to provide education that will be built on a hub and spoke model, while addressing the Union Budget Speech.
