The registration window for the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the academic year 2021-22 has opened from January 4, 2022 (today). .
Candidates will have to register for the exam through MP Online and will only be able to do so online. The exam has no registration fees.
The registration period will be open until January 22." From classes nine to twelve, the selected students will receive a scholarship of Rs 12000 per student per year. While there is no specific curriculum for the exam, the question paper will be based on the curriculum for classes seven and eight.
Students from government, government-aided, and other state-level schools will be eligible to take the exam, he said.
The examination, which will be held in both English and Hindi, is set to take place on February 18.
The exam will be divided into two sections, MAT and SAT. Each slot will be 90 minutes long and will include 90 questions.
Of the 90 questions, 35 will be science-related, 35 will be social-science-related, and the remaining 20 will be mathematics-related.
The admit card will be available for download on the portal in the second week of February.

MP NMMSS 2022: Application process for the scholarship
- Students applying for scholarships for the first time (Fresh Students) must "Register" on the portal as a fresh applicant by providing accurate and authenticated information as printed on their documents in the "Student Registration Form."
- The registration form must be completed by the parents or guardians of students who are under the age of 18 on the date of registration.
- Before beginning the registration process,students/parents/guardians should have some important documents in hand.

MP NMMSS 2022: Documents required for registration process
- Educational documents of student
- Student's Bank account number and IFSC code of the bank branch Note: For pre matric scholarship scheme, where students do not have their own bank account, parents can provide their own account details. However, parents' account number can only be used against scholarship applications for a maximum two children.
- Aadhaar number of the Student
- If Aadhaar is not available, then Bonafide student certificate from Institute / School and
- Aadhar enrollment ID and scanned copy of bank passbook.
MP NMMSS 2022: Benefits received
- Students in class 9 receive a scholarship in one lump sum, i.e. INR 12,000 per year for an academic year.
- The scholarship is renewed each year until the student completes his/her Higher Secondary level of education (Class 12), provided that the candidate receives clear promotion into higher class each year.
