NCERT SWAYAM Courses To Rescue Students from Classes 11, 12 Suffering Learning Loss

New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research & Training famously known as (NCERT) has decided to provide 28 courses across 11 different subjects in Online mode for students from Classes 11 and 12 through Official Swayam Portal.

Eligible candidates who are interested in the Swayam Courses of NCERT can register themself through the official portal, ciet.nic.in/swayam-moocs.php till March 31, 2022.

Speaking about the Courses, Amarendra P Behera, joint director, Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT, said, “Keeping in view the academic loss of students due to closure of schools because of COVID pandemic, we have introduced 28 MOOCs for Class XI and XII students that will be the digital resource. These online courses will help them in preparing for their terminal and internal examinations as well as professional courses. The courses are in simple language & have been designed, keeping in view NCERT syllabus and textbooks.”

The Swayam MOOC courses have been developed in a total of 11 Subjects that includes; Mathematics, Accountancy, Physics, Business Studies, Chemistry, English, Sociology, Biology, Economics, Geography and Psychology. 

These courses will consist of both textual and video modules, assessment questions which have been prepared by the School, College & University teachers. Students can also post their Questions, Comments & observations on each topic to clear their doubts with teachers on the discussion forums. 

NCERT SWAYAM Courses for Classes 11 and 12: How to Register

Interested students must follow the below mentioned steps to successfully register for the Classes 11, 12 SWAYAM courses :

  • Visit the official website, 

swayam.gov.in or ciet.nic.in/swayam-moocs.php and Register yourself.

  • Search for the Swayam courses by clicking on the course link.
  • Now, enroll for the Swayam course for free.
  • Learn the content and complete all activities as per the guidelines.
  • After completion of the course content, take the final assessment to officially get certified.

The Enrollment process for the NCERT Swayam courses commenced from December 20, 2021 on official SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active- Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) portal. In the current cycle, the NCERT will offer 28 MOOCs across 11 different subjects till May 31, 2022.
