New Delhi: The National Institute of Open Schooling, NIOS is now preparing to offer various specialized courses such as Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management, etc.

As per NIOS, students who will apply for the courses will be exposed to the prerequisite practical exposure. The course will learn various skills and activities by working in the skill centers of the Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSSC).

Candidates who are interested in applying for logistics courses at NIOS can apply for the program through the official website of the institute at www.nios.ac.in. More details for the admission process will be soon released on the institute’s website for all candidates to check.

Talking about the course the Chairperson of NIOS, Saroj Sharma said, “NIOS has introduced specialized Logistics courses that are Logistics Management, and Inventory Management that are meant for secondary and senior secondary classes”.

“LSSC has entered into a partnership with us because they do not have a school certification recognition. Apart from these Logistics courses, we already have 103 vocational courses” she further added. 

The NIOS Courses 2022 in logistics is specially designed by consulting with experts and members of the Logistics Sector Skill Council. Books and other materials for the same will be provided to registered students at the skill centers of LSSC. 

Under the program, students will receive training sessions at various LSSC skill centers under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Additionally, students will also have the opportunity to apply for various internship programs. 

Referring to the same, NIOS Chairperson said, "The Logistics curricula that have been introduced would also support our "talking books" and "sign language" which is meant for the "special learners" under the inclusion policy".
