NIT Patna PhD Admission 2022 Open; Last Date to Apply is June 22

New Delhi: NIT Patna has begun the application process for the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme for the academic year 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @nitp.ac.in by June 22, 2022. 

NIT Patna offers admission to Ph.D programmes through institute admission test and/or interview during Odd Semester (July-Dec' 22). Candidates seeking admission to the programme can submit their applications till June 22, 2022. 

The PhD course is offered by various departments including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (ME), Architecture & Planning, and Humanities.

Candidates seeking admissions into the PhD courses offered by the institute are required to meet the requisite eligibility criteria. The total seat intake among all the specializations in NIT Patna Ph.D. is 74-80.

NIT Patna PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must hold an M. Tech./ M. E./ M. Arch/ M. Planning/M. Des/M. Sc./M. Com./ MBA/MA or equivalent degree in relevant and related discipline, with at least 6.5 CGPA (in the scale of 10) or 60 percent marks in aggregate from a recognized technical institute or university.
• Candidates who have qualified GATE are also eligible but they will have to show their GATE score card at the time of submission. 

NIT Patna PhD Admission 2022: Selection Process

• Admission to the PhD Programme shall be made by the Institute based on minimum eligibility criteria and evaluation of the candidate in screening test.
• The Admission Committee of the respective department will conduct a screening Test and/or Selection Interview. The final selection will be done after the Selection Interview.
• A merit list will be prepared based on selection interview only. 
• Final Admission will be strictly based on merit subject to verification of documents and original certificates.

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of NIT Patna @www.nitp.ac.in

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee of INR 1500 and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
