NSE Academy, Karnataka State Education Body to Setup CoE at BASE Bangalore


New Delhi: NSE Academy, a subsidiary of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) has expressed its intention to collaborate with Karnataka State Higher Education Council to promote education in terms of finance and awareness regarding investments. 

The collaboration would facilitate the establishment of a Centre of Excellence at BASE Bangalore. A plan of action will be developed to upskill students in terms of careers with BFSI and create exposure for recruitment by setting a threshold for the program in line with global standards. 

The collaboration is purported to facilitate undergraduate students in Karnataka to acquire knowledge through an updated curriculum concerning financial education. An official statement stated that the curriculum is formulated by the experts at NSE Academy and Professors of universities across Karnataka.

As stated by Ravi Varanasi, President and Chief Development Officer of NSE, the collaboration will empower the youth through incredible knowledge of finance and skills for financial management through an intervention long-term basis at higher levels of education. 

Abhilash Misra, the Chief Executive Officer of NSE, stated that the collaboration would establish a strong foundation for students in terms of financial well-being.

Karnataka Higher Education Minister CN Ashwath Narayan stated that the state government is open to the program for spreading financial education and investment awareness. He further asserted that the program would aid in the development of the entrepreneurial skills of students in terms of financial awareness and scientific knowledge. 

Stock Trading Courses, Fees, Colleges, Scope

Aswathnarayan also added that the program would help students to gain knowledge about economic policies, capital markets, fintech, central banks and related subjects. He also stated that it would facilitate knowledge exchange amongst students and faculty members across Karnataka. 

Earlier, Karnataka State Education Council signed MoU with the British Council to Globalise Higher Education. This agreement aims to advance research and support the internationalisation of higher educational institutes.
