Parul University Collaborates With NDA to Offer Continuing Education to Dropout Cadets; Details Here

Parul University, Vadodara in collaboration with the National Defence Academy (NDA) will provide continuing education to the dropout cadets. 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Vadodara-based Parul University and the NDA to offer continued education to the cadets who are unable to pursue the academic courses at NDA. 

Along with the Center of Excellence in Training, the National Defence Academy offers undergraduate courses and is one of the top tri-service academies which trains the cadets in the Navy, Army, and Air force. 

Once the cadets complete the 3-year duration of their training successfully, the Jawaharlal Nehru University awards the graduating cadets with the training degrees. 

As a result, before joining the armed forces, these graduated cadets go ahead to their respective training centers for further training.

However, a huge number of candidates wither withdraw or fail to meet the requirements of the academy and are boarded out as they were ineligible to fulfil the criteria for the completion in the field 9f academics, outdoor training, standard and protocols, owing to injuries or medical complications post or before the course of the training. 

Further, the boarded out cadets face a lot of struggles and challenges in order to continue their academics which is one of the several reasons. Consequently, with the help of MoU, the cadets can require academic rehabilitation from the university.

Speaking about the collaboration with the NDA, Dr Devanshu Patel, PU President said that Parul University is one of the very few universities that has partnered with NDA, which is a matter of great pride and honour for the university. 

Further, the varsity has an armed forces motivation cell that operates to instill a sense of national services through a career in the armed forces amongst the students. Therefore, the graduating cadets will feel at home with such an enriching environment in Parul University, Patel concluded.
