PGIMER Nursing 2020: Spot Counselling for B.Sc. Nursing to be Held on December 14; Check Vacant Seats and Eligibility Here


PGIMER is all set to commence the Spot Counselling for admission to B.Sc Nursing (4 years) course for the September 2020 session. The spot counselling will be held in offline mode on December 14, 2020 at 11:00 am.

Candidates eligible and interested to appear for PGIMER Nursing Spot Counselling will have to visit the Bhargava Auditorium, PGIMER, Chandigarh by 10:30 am. The PGIMER Counselling is scheduled to start sharp at 11:00 am.

The PGIMER B.Sc. Nursing entrance exam was held on July 28, 2020 in CBT mode and the result for the same was announced on August 6, 2020. Thereafter candidates were supposed to submit the documents of the qualifying exam.

Candidates who will be allotted a seat during PGIMER Nursing Spot Counselling will have to deposit the requisite fee by demand draft of INR 5,000/- and INR 835/- (two separate drafts) in the favour of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh. The fee has to be paid on the spot to confirm.

All such candidates have to join the course immediately after concluding the PGIMER Spot Counselling. No extra time for joining shall be given to any candidate. If any candidate shows inability to join the course due to any reason, his/her seat shall be cancelled on the spot and allotted to the next eligible candidate.

PGIMER B.Sc. Nursing Spot Counselling: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates willing to appear for PGIMER Counselling 2020 for B.Sc. Nursing must note that they should have scored percentile set by the exam conducting authorities. The category-wise required percentile is given in the table below:

Any reserved seat left vacant after counselling will be offered to other qualified open general category candidates in the order of merit. Such seats will be filled irrespective of any category of the qualified candidates.

PGIMER B.Sc. Nursing Spot Counselling: Documents Required

Candidates appearing for spot counselling have to carry the below list of documents:

  • Degree certificate
  • Class 10 and 12 certificate or marksheet
  • Migration certificate
  • Internship certificate
  • PGIMER Admit Card
  • Cast certificate, if applicable
  • Latest passport size photograph 

PGIMER B.Sc. Nursing Spot Counselling: Important Instructions

  • Candidates should be accompanied by one person, so as to maintain the social distancing norms.
  • Candidates allotted seats will have to take admission on the same day, failing to which the seat will be cancelled and offered to the next candidate.
  • All the candidates must follow the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India from time to time for Covid-19.
  • Wearing a face mask is compulsory for both the candidate and the person accompanying.
  • Candidates must bring original as well as one photocopy set of all required documents.

Candidates must note that no further counselling will be held for this session.
