Presidency University Kolkata: UG Second Merit List Released on September 17, Check Details Here

Presidency University, Kolkata has released the second merit list for admission into the various undergraduate courses of the varsity on September 17, 2020. Candidates who have applied for the admission process of the varsity can check the merit list on their official website: presiuniv.ac.in.

Earlier, the second merit list of Presidency University for the UG courses was scheduled to be released on September 16, 2020. However, it was then pushed to September 17, 2020. 

Candidates are required to take into account that the admission portal will be closed on 23rd September whereas the admission fee portal closes on 22nd September.

Previously, the varsity released its 1st merit list and the status of the same was available till September 17,2020.

While the third merit list of the University is scheduled to be disclosed on 29th September. The total seats for UG programs in PU are 619 as compared to 526 for PG programs.

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Boards (WBJEEB) is the council that conducts Presidency University Bachelor's Degree Entrance Test every year. However, this year due to the COVID outbreak, the Board didn’t conduct the exam.

For admission in various courses this year, the varsity had taken the last qualifying examination marks into consideration to prepare the rank and merit list of the candidates. 

The general merit list for the PU is drafted for courses such as BA in (Bengali, English, Hindi, History, Performing Arts, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology) and BSc in (Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Geology, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics).

While the merit list of the Presidency University contains various information about the applicant such as enrolment number, the application number, GMR, rank, remark, name of the program, and category of the candidate.
