New Delhi: The Shiv Nadar institution has launched "MAGUS", a cutting-edge supercomputer. According to the institute, the high-performance computing (HPC) cluster that houses the supercomputer is designed to offer strong computational capacity for processing massive amounts of data efficiently.
Shiv Nadar Institution has stated that the HPC cluster is now ranked on the 32 position overall in India in the list of high-performance supercomputers. The university officials said that the HPC cluster will be used in numerous scientific areas, including engineering, physics, chemistry, artificial intelligence (AI), and more.
The institution's press release revealed that the HPC can simulate physical phenomena, analyse and process enormous datasets, and will create new software and algorithms.
Furthermore, all of these features of the cluster will provide students a chance to practise, how they can use the cutting-edge computing tools and replicate real-world scenarios.
Expressing her joy at providing professors and students with access to the new HPC cluster, Vice Chancellor Ananya Mukherjee said that with this cutting-edge equipment, the institute experts can carry out intricate simulations, evaluate massive amounts of data easily, and it will help them to improve their study.
The building is a sizable investment in the institution's research and that the world will continue to benefit from their research in significant ways.
