SHUATS PhD Admission 2023-24 Open; Last Date to Apply is January 20

New Delhi: Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHUATS) has begun the application process for admission to the full time Ph.D. Programmes for the Spring Semester (Jan-June 2023). Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, @shuats.edu.in. 

SHUATS offers PhD programmes in various specialisations. Candidates seeking admission to the PhD programme can submit their applications till January 20, 2023. 

The varsity conducts an entrance examination for admission to the Ph.D. programs. Shortlisted candidates are then invited for further interview process. Admission in Ph.D. Programmes will be as per the latest UGC Regulations.

SHUATS PhD Admission 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates intending to enrol for admission to the PhD programme will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria. 

• Master’s degree or MPhil degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
• A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time..

SHUATS PhD Admission 2023: Selection Process

• Candidate's selection will be based on the Performance in written Test and Interview to be conducted by the University.
• Candidates who had cleared UGC/ICAR/CSIR JRF Test within two years from the date of this advertisement need not to appear in Written Entrance Test. However, they have to appear in an Interview on Feb 1, 2023 with all the original Testimonials and Certificates.

SHUATS PhD Admission 2023: How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal of SHUATS @shuats.edu.in. 

Step 2: Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3: Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form. 

Step 5: Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.

There will be 100 objective type questions, out of which 20 questions are based on General / Academic aptitude and 80 questions are based on the subject studied at master’s level. The Admit cards/ Call letters can be downloaded from the University website only.
