The examinations for the students having a backlog will be held from October 1 to 9, 2020. However, SPPU Director of Board of Examination Mahesh Kakade said that these dates are not yet final and the University is expecting 50% of students to opt for online examinations, especially from the professional courses.

Kakade said in a statement, "The online examination may not be held in proctored format. If somehow a student couldn't appear for the examination whether online/ offline, the University is planning to hold the examinations again in the month of December or January."

Savitribai Phule Pune University examinations will be held in the MCQs format. Despite this, special provisions will also be made for Physically challenged students like extra 20 mins will be provided to them to attempt the examination.

Students lacking the availability of gadgets for the online examination can also utilize MSCIT centres. There are in total 5,800 MSCIT centres across Pune, whichever the student finds nearest can be utilized for appearing in exams. Despite all this, if there is no medium left candidates need not panic as SPPU has also scheduled written exams in December/January.

The University is aware of the students' disapprobation for examinations amid the COVID-19 crisis. Kakade admitted it in a statement and said, "We appeal all the stakeholders and most importantly students to help us in this endeavor. In a city like Pune connectivity can be an issue, hence students are requested to provide honest information in the link so as to get a realistic picture and conduct the exams accordingly in the favour of students."
