New Delhi: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is now preparing to conduct a re-examination for students who could not appear for semester exams due to special conditions. The registrations for SPPU Re-Exam 2022 are expected to start from September 2022.

As per SPPU, the opportunity to appear for re-examinations will be offered to those students who failed to appear for the exam due to their participation in sports, national-level exams, or other events approved by the university exam authority.

Referring to SPPU Semester Exam 2022, Mahesh Kakade, Director of Examination and Evaluation informed, “We have already uploaded the circular regarding circumstances under which a student will be eligible for applying to appear for special examinations”.

“This includes students selected for Asian or international games, participating in competitions approved by the management council from time to time. After scrutiny of the forms and the documents, eligible candidates will be allowed for the re-examination” he said.

Adding to the statement, he stated that students who were absent because they were participating in sports and cultural events approved by the University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities can appear for the re-examination.

In addition to this, students who appeared for UPSC, NET, or other examinations whose dates were clashing with SPPU Exam 2022 will be permitted to appear for the examination. The registration process for this exam is likely to start in the first week of September 2022.

“We are thinking of inviting applications online from September 1 onwards. This will probably be kept open for 15 days after which the examinations will be scheduled” Mahesh Kakade added.

As of now, the semester examination for first-year students of SPPU Courses is being held on campus ground. The exam is scheduled to end on September 15, 2022. The special exam for absentees will only be held after the commencement of ongoing semester examination.
