SRMJEEE 2022: Phase 1 Exam Today; Check Paper Pattern, Timing, Exam-day Guidelines Here

SRMIST has started the phase 1 of SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) 2022, today, on January 8, 2022. 

Due to the ongoing pandemic covid-19 situation, the SRMIST planned to conduct the SRMJEEE 2022 exam through the remote proctored mode from January 8 to 9, 2022, between 1 PM and 3:30 PM. 

SRMIST will conduct the SRMJEEE 2022 exam in three phases - as of now, phase 1 is going on, while phase 2 will be held on April 23 & 24, 2022, and phase 3 is scheduled to be held between June 25 and 26, 2022.

Earlier, the SRMIST started the SRMJEE 2022 slot booking process for phase 1 exam. Candidates who registered for the SRM BTech 2022 phase 1 were able to book their slots according to their preference. 

The SRMJEEE application form 2022 was released on November 16, 2021, and the candidates were able to apply for the SRMJEEE 2022 exam till January 2, 2022. 

SRMJEEE 2022 Exam: Highlights 

SRMJEEE 2022: Exam Pattern 

SRMJEEE 2022 exam will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes as a computer-based test. The SRMJEEE 2022 exam pattern is such that the question will consist of a total of 125 multiple choice questions distributed under different sections. 

The question paper will be based on subjects such as - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and General Aptitude.

SRMJEEE 2022: Exam Syllabus

The SRMJEEE 2022 syllabus includes topics from five subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, English and Aptitude. Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude are mandatory, while the students have the option to choose the Mathematics or Biology subjects according to their course requirement. 

The questions for all the subjects will be based on the syllabus of Class 1. English question papers will be based on small comprehension and passages. Aptitude will cover questions from topics such as number system, profit and loss, number system, geometry, etc. 

SRMJEE 2022: Exam-day Guidelines

As the SRMJEEE 2022 exam will be conducted via the remote proctored mode, the SRMIST has issued a set of exam-day guidelines which should be strictly followed by the appearing candidates. The following are the exam-day instructions of SRMJEE 2022, 

• Candidates taking the SRMJEEE 2022 exam must have a computer system/laptop with good RAM and space so that it doesn't lag during the test. 
• Candidates must have a high speed internet facility and the system must have a working mic and camera.
• Mobile phones should be switched on as the login related details will be sent on the mobile phone.
• An exam conducting authority might call the aspirants before the exam to discuss exam rules and instructions.
• Candidates will be observed throughout the completion of the test, thus, they must ensure that there is no disturbance around them.
• Candidates must ensure that they do not use any books, notes to answer the questions which may lead to their termination.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) conducts the university-level examination, SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination or SRMJEEE for admissions to undergraduate B.Tech programmes offered by the institute.
