SVNIT Surat offers admission to full-time and part-time Ph.D courses in various disciplines that include Engineering, Science, Humanities and Social Science and Interdisciplinary areas. Regular full-time scholars will be awarded scholarships or assistantship as per MHRD and Institute guidelines.
As per the guidelines of SVNIT Surat Admission 2022, candidates should have qualified UGC NET/ GATE/ CAT. Additionally, a Master’s degree is required in relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% incase of open category or 55% marks or equivalent CGPA for reserved categories.

SVNIT Surat PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria & Selection
- Candidates must have a Masters' degree in relevant discipline.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA for Open/Open-EW/OBC candidates and 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
- Candidates awaiting results can apply, they need to submit degree certificates by September 15, 2022.
- Full time Institute Research Scholars (FIR) should have cleared GATE / NET / CAT once in their academic career.
- Candidates with exceptional results (CGPA 9 / equivalent or higher) in Bachelor’s with relevant discipline can take direct admission to PhD programs. They should have excellent GATE scores (top 10% scorer) by virtue of their eligibility in M.Tech or ME.
Note: Selection will be based on a Written Test and Interview.
