As per the latest update, University of Jammu has been shut down for the next three days after COVID-19 positive cases have been detected on campus. Final Exams Stant postponed till further dates are released.
In line with the standard protocol, University of Jammu Campus has been identified as a containment zone and the ongoing final year examinations for 2020 have also been postponed until further notice.
University authorities launched teams to perform rigorous testing on campus adhering to the COVID -19 safety guidelines.
According to an official notification released over twitter, All the examinations scheduled for September 9-11, 2020 for final year students stand postponed after the varsity had been closed on Tuesday.

Revised Exam Dates to be Announced Shortly
In addition to confirming the postponement of the examinations scheduled for September 9-11, 2020, Varsity also informed students in its notification that fresh or revised dates for the next examination would soon be announced.
The notice read, “The main campus of the University of Jammu shall remain closed for three days, i.e. from September 9-11, 2020, and shall be notified to all concerned that all examinations of the University of Jammu scheduled to take place on the dates referred to above shall be postponed and that new dates for the holding of such delayed examinations shall be notified separately.'

Final Year Exams 2020 to be Conducted in Accordance with the UGC Guidelines
The examinations were decided to take place after the Supreme Court ordered that no students be promoted without them appearing for the examinations. All the examinations are therefore to be carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission and the academic calendar, which is to be completed by September 30, 2020. The SC gave the States and Varsities the right to reach the UGC in the event that they were unable to follow the calendar and needed a change of date.
In the past few days, the number of coronavirus cases has increased in the Jammu and Kashmir region. Recently, the Jammu office of JKBOSE, located in Rehari, Jammu, was also closed for three days after 15 COVID-19 staff had been tested positive.
