UP Board Exams for Class 10 and 12 are going to be conducted by UPMSP in the month of February. According to the schedule released by the Council, the practical exams for Class 12 will be held from February 3 to 22, 2021.
In wake of the ongoing pandemic, Council of UP Board has released SOPs for conducting the practical exams. Guidelines should be strictly maintained by the students and school authorities. The main aim of the SOPs is to maintain social distancing norms hence preventing the contamination and spreading of Coronavirus.
Earlier, it was announced that UP Board practical exams will be held in two stages according to the zones created. There will not be any practical examinations for Class 10 students. They will be marked according to their internal assessment.
UP Board Releases SOPs for Practical Exams amid COVID-19
Here is a list of the SOPs released by the UP Board Council which the students and schools have to adhere to for maintaining social distancing protocols:
- Sanitised Laboratories- The laboratories where the practical exams will be conducted needs to be sanitised. This includes the apparatus and gears to be used by the students during examination.
- Thermal Check- All the students and teachers entering the examination area should undergo thermal checkup.
- Proper Hygiene- Sanitizer and Handsoap should be available at all-time in the school toilets and labs.
- Social Distancing Guidelines- The primary social distancing guidelines issued by the government due to the pandemic needs to be followed strictly by all students, teachers.
- Separate Entry and Exit- The entry and exit points should be separate in order to avoid crowding.
- Mandatory Face Mask- Facemasks for all teachers, staff and students is mandatory.
- Strict Vigilance- Strict Vigilance for symptoms should be made. In case any teacher or student shows slight symptoms of the virus, the Chief Medical Officer should be contacted immediately.
- CCTV Vigilance- CCTV should be installed in the laboratories and exam halls. The principals of the schools have been informed to keep the CCTV footage for future reference
