Visva Bharati University aspirants who have appeared in the examination can check their result online at vbu.ucanapply.com for undergraduate and postgraduate level admission.

Visva Bharati Result 2020: How to check
- Visit the official website at vbu.ucanapply.com.
- Look for the link “View Examination Results” on the homepage.
- A new page will be displayed on the screen.
- Choose the course, and the merit list will appear on the screen in a pdf format.
- Review your result
- Download the merit list for further process.
Visva Bharati University 2020 Merit List
Once the merit list is released, candidates will appear for the counselling round.
For Undergraduate Programs
- Visva Bharati will look at 10+2 or equivalent examination marks for providing merit for UG courses.
- The marks of the best four subjects in which the candidate will pursue honours will determine merit.
- Apart from this, for some UG programs, admission tests or entrance exams will be conducted. A separate merit list will be prepared based on the entrance exam.

For M.A. Courses
For admission to the M.A course, the merit list will be prepared based on the following criteria:
- B.A. (Hons.) Exams aggregate percentage marks out of 100.
- The qualifying marks required by the applicant in the admission test includes;
- 30% for general candidates
- 27% for OBC candidates.
- Not applicable to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
For M. Sc. Courses
For M. Sc course including Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Zoology, Botany and Environmental Sciences, the merit list for admission test will be prepared based on the following criteria:
- Marks obtained in the written admission test out of 100.
- The qualifying marks required by the applicant in the admission test includes;
- 30% for general candidates
- 27% for OBC candidates.
- Not applicable to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
For M. Sc. In Biotechnology:
- Marks obtained in the Combined Entrance Examination, conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University.
For Five-Year Integrated M. Sc:
- Based on the NEST merit list, candidates will be given admission.
Visva Bharati University Counseling 2020
Candidates will appear for the counselling round according to the number of seats available, merit, and eligibility. On the day of counselling, candidates need to carry the following documents mentioned below.
- Photocopy of the application form
- Marksheets and certificates of all the academic levels (original)
- Date of Birth proof
- Category Certificate (If applicable)
- Candidates belonging to the OBC category should bring the certificate, along with an annual income certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Medical certificate
